University of Surrey成立於1891年，於1966年正式獲頒為英國大學，位於倫敦西南邊的薩里郡(Surrey)，優美的校園位於一座可俯瞰Surrey的Guildford小山丘上，是一座現代化大學，從校園步行就可以到達巿中心及火車站，相當方便。

成立University of Surrey的目標是為了讓倫敦的貧窮居民都得到高等教育的機會，大學專注於科學以及技術方面。在1920時期，更為倫敦大學的部分學生授課。到2016年，University of Surrey已晉升到全英第四名（The Guardians Ranking），還被Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide選為2016 University of the Year award。
