Harrogate Ladies’ College

Harrogate Ladies College位於英國北部 Yorkshire地區的Harrogate，風光綺麗，步行十分鐘即可到達市中心，乘火車前往倫敦約需2.5 小時。創立初期是男校，後隨教育需求改為女子學校。

Harrogate是城巿裏優秀的女校，設有小學及中學部，並設有多個獎學金，鼓勵勤奮向學或各方面有優秀表現的學生。預科生自由度較大，不須穿著校服，但需嚴守紀律。透過參與課外活動，跟不同地區及背景的學生聚在一起，而從中學習待人接物，互相合作，其中藝術表現尤其出色。

學校提供機會讓學生協助策劃各種活動，可從中鍛鍊領導才能及社交能力。學校亦會教導學生如何照顧自己及妥善分配時間，並監察他們的情緒及行為，適時提供協助及輔導，學校透過鼓勵及活動，希望教導女生成為領袖生，使他們可以在社會上成為傑出女性。

The girls only approach – As a girls only environment they are able to adapt their teaching methods to the way girls learn best; they don’t have any gender stereotypes when it comes to subject choices; and they know how to provide the support and guidance that teenage girls need in order to flourish.

Our results – Harrogate ladies college is proud of their excellent results which belie their largely non-selective status. Studying at College typically adds one whole grade per subject and our A level results are the best in Harrogate. The majority of our girls go on to study at top Russell Group universities.

Our extra-curricular programme – Girls at College have access to an amazing array of extra-curricular activities and we encourage all of our pupils to embrace these opportunities and to discover and develop their individual talents.

Our size – The size of our school means that we have exceptionally high levels of inclusion in sport teams, music, drama performances and school leadership roles. It also means that they get to know and understand each and every girl and are able to work with them as individuals so that they achieve the best they possibly can.
