Wellington School

Wellington School位於英格蘭南部Taunton 郊區，環境優美。成立於1837年，原本為一所寄宿制男校，自1972年起開始招收女生，發展成為男女校。校園佔地35英畝，距離火車站約20分鐘車程。

學校作為傳統寄宿學校，鼓勵學生作多方面的發展，積極讓學生參與課外活動，透過遁遁善誘，使學生踏上正確學習之路。而學校和諧寧靜的學習環境，讓學生更快適應當地的生活。

學術方面，學校提供英語輔導給英語較弱的學生， 為學術較弱的學生提供額外的課堂及練習，使每個學生都有進步，所以學校的學術進步是全英國最好的4%。而且學校提供一年GCSE課程，讓國際學生可以容易銜接之後的A-Level課程。

學校提供各式各樣的球場及設備：室內泳池、騎術中心及擊劍場。而為了提升教學質素，學校更不斷投放資源翻新或加建設施，以及招聘優質的教師。而為照顧國際學生需要，學校的膳食亦花了大量心機去改良，使新生能夠盡快適應。

There should be no such thing as a typical Wellington School pupil. To that end, the aims of Wellington School are:

• To provide an excellent all-round education which is open to talented pupils from diverse backgrounds.

• To nurture the spirit and talents of the individual child, encouraging excellence in academic study, creative, aesthetic and physical abilities.

• To stimulate intellectual curiosity and inspire a life-long interest in learning.

• To provide a disciplined and mutually respectful environment based on Christian values, encouraging boys and girls to be socially and morally responsible citizens in the 21st Century.

In pursuit of these aims, the School will combine the best of received wisdom and modern innovation; encourage a partnership between School and parents; develop the professional capacities of its staff; invest in first-class facilities and continue its strong association with the local community.
